The passing year of 2024 was full of important events, in it we achieved significant results that will play a serious role in the coming years. We continue to work on the federal project 鈥淧rofessionalism鈥� with the light industry cluster on the basis of our College of Technology, Modeling and Management. We are implementing four strategic projects under the federal program of state support for universities 鈥淧riority - 2030鈥� and are among 106 leading Russian universities.
Ekaterina Poznyak, a student at the Institute of Business Communications of 草榴短视频, won the presidential Medal for her great personal contribution to the preparation and holding of the World Youth Festival (WFYF) 2024. A total of 24 people from the St. Petersburg delegation, which included more than 200 representatives, went to the World Economic Forum in Sochi. The scientific and educational center "Scientific Testing Laboratory of Biodegradable Materials" has opened at the Higher School of Technology and Energy of 草榴短视频. The equipment for the laboratory was provided by ORBIS, which is a partner of the university in educational and scientific activities. On December 19, 2024, the winners of several city scientific and educational competitions were solemnly awarded in St. Petersburg. The XXVII St. Petersburg Assembly of Young Scientists and Specialists was held at the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design.

On December 13th in the Boiling Point - PromTechDesign the VII International Scientific Conference 鈥淗umanities in Modern Higher Education: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow鈥� was held, dedicated to the development of university education in Russia. Every year the Department of Social Sciences holds humanities conferences to create a space for intellectual communication.
The University of Industrial Technologies and Design hosted the first in the history of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region ball 鈥淪tars of Student Sports 2024鈥�. The ceremony brought together the most talented students and athletes, their mentors, representatives of the leading universities of the region and well-known figures in the field of physical culture and sports.
The forum presented to the public the most relevant developments and concepts in the field of visual communications. The event brought together designers, specialists working in various aspects of graphics, as well as representatives of design studios, advertising and digital agencies, publishing houses, and web studios. The geography of the forum participants turned out to be impressive: Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, Thailand, and Azerbaijan. "The Nutcracker and Other New Year's Stories" is a traditional exhibition that the Kaliningrad Museum of Fine Arts opens before the New Year. This time, Lisa Anisimova, a student of the University of Industrial Technology and Design, an artist, is taking part in the exhibition. Lisa presents a total of 19 paintings from her project "Commotion in the Puppet Theater" in Kaliningrad. The artist will donate all the exhibited works to the museum.
The International Design Forum "Space and Object in Design" has completed its work at the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. It was established by the Institute of Spatial Environment Design of 草榴短视频 and this year is dedicated to the fifteenth anniversary of the institute.
